Playing $2/$5 live cash, I run into this #poker hand where I suspect the SB had quads (hint, I do NOT have an Ace in my hand!). Like the video if you think the SB has quads a ton of the time here!

At this level its quads almost every time. But I think kings, queens and possibly jacks could be there as well. I've seen the overplay with big pairs at this level.

Thereā€™s exceptions to every rule.

Like , Never put somebody on quads.
Unless the board shows three of the same card.

Range: some Ax, 34 and 45 suited but not likely. More likely any pocket pair that was afraid to bet the turn.

He could have an overpair that made a boat.

Edit: all right, yuck it up everybody

we may have some Ax and much as SB, but are range is capped! 8s are the biggest pair we got? 99s is a 3bet? If u got tricky with QQ or JJ Iā€™d might call it off only because ur ahead of bunch of pairs that think they can go for value

Alright first thing to think about, I live for playing at Cherokee and that mf couldā€™ve had any random pair doing that. Cherokee is wild af so if you have any decent pair have to call down these clowns

When it goes check/check on the river, what are you trying to get value from with a $100 bet? Seems like every boat would feel good going to showdown. Why give yourself the opportunity to get blown off the pot? This is absolutely a fold, unless you have KK/QQ/maybe JJ and 10ā€™s in which case, why wouldnā€™t you raise pre-flop? Imo thereā€™s nothing to think about here other than, ā€œwhy did I play this hand this way?ā€

Any position could do this cause youā€™re not repping an ace based on the turn call, they can easily get you off

I think it's almost always quads. Others are saying they could have an overpair but that is neglecting the fact that your bet represents that you have quads. Why raise someone repping quads when you have showdown value.

I would have expected this from UTG more than the SB, so itā€™s very like either a huge bluff or someoneā€™s getting tricky checking quads hoping UTG or BTN stabs at the pot so they can come over the top. Not a bad play IMO.

I think this is a hidden pair, likely a smaller pair applying no-face card pressure regarding the board! That's my opinion.

Do not have enough information to say definitely quads, though unless you have something tasty that's not suggested by your play, fold is probably good here.

This would have been super slow playing the trips up to the river, and while that happens, I'm not convinced it's nothing but.

Either Ax or pocket 10s would be my guess

Pocket J's or 10s anything more and you would have seen more up front any less and they would likely just call the river bet

Yes he had quads

Quads everytime

Quads a good % of time. Because only quads call his $400 raise there and he knows it. You clearly have quads in your range (call call bet half pot); if he raises into two players, you know he has it.

100% ace. Even if he has kings he's not min raising that river he's just calling

They probably have a nine, and hope you have a king or a two.
