For those that don’t know, this corner is ‘Ballagarey’… affectionately known by the riders as Balla-scary… it’s a flat out approach to the corner and it’s a blind apex, the road climbs and dips just on the approach and you have NO point of reference, meaning the rider must commit to the corner without seeing the corner. there is a 30mph road sign just before the blind turn which is used as a point of reference, and on a big bike you will hear the riders roll off a little… the lesser experienced riders knock it back a gear or two, it takes 3-5 YEARS to get comfortable with this corner… The approach to the corner is flat out and lined with stone walls, there is NO room for error, it is a very high risk corner with fatal consequences if you get it wrong! Which many have!
Imagine having the balls to tip a bike into a corner you can’t actually see at 160 odd miles an hour, that is lined with stone walls! 😳😳
