It happened to me too, but it's totally different! In addition to all the parts you mentioned, others also failed (I don't know what they're called) and when it couldn't last anymore, the red screen appeared, like in Hot Rod. It was super!

I have a theory of the beasts origin story.
A retired ww2 aircraft. It was sold at a auction. An unknown man bought it. He was a mehcanic. So he took his time and made the ww2 aircraft into a vehicle. He later added a boost system. And then he one time took it for a drive. But his car kept felling apart. He thought it was the powerful boost system causing the vehicle to break down. So he did some work and then made for a test drive, it did break but it was stronger, he used the vehicle to win many races. But at one point he retired as a mechanic. And bought a normal car. He didnt want the unstable but fast piece of metal anymore. It is expensive to rebuilt it after each drive. He put it up on sale, however the vehicle didnt have a name. So it couldnt register into being sold. He thought for some time. And came but with the BEAST! He gave the vehicle a fresh coat of paint and a B on the side. He sold it for 60k. Then came the Players. Aka you. The player was financially good enough that he could successfully use the beast then rebuilt it. So he bought it and now. Present day we are using it to race and adventures.
