My Dad is my hero! 84yro. Has told me and my 4 siblings and are wives and husbands. On a regular basis that he loves us! Along with hugs. And I do it with my kidsā¤

My dad never said those words to me ever. Never once gave me a hug either. I make sure to overuse the words āI love youā with my children and give them lots of hugs every day. Children are a wonderful blessing from the Lord!

My dad is more typical of his generation and doesnāt say it in so many words much. But he says it in other ways, like when heās excited by what Iām doing at work or the church, when he sends me a neat but rough old truck and we both regret that we donāt live so close because it would be a fun project we could work on. So he doesnāt say it, but he kinda does.

It really does matter. Even God says, āThis is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.ā Jesus was not needing to be taught of or reassured of His perfect communion with the Father. But the Father revealed Himself and His Son in this way.
I think thatās one of the reasons Satan has corrupted so many fathers. It gives young people a bad impression on what a father is and it makes it hard for some of us to properly understand God as our Father.

Every time I talk to my Dad he tells me he loves me and I tell him I love him. I donāt understand why people are so leary of telling those they are close to that they love them.
