Ok so ima huge Disney nerd so
The reason why Disney parks have trash cans is that Walt one day was eating a hot dog and when he finished he had the wrapper and stopped and said that’s where a trash can needs to be so he made sure that there was a trash can every 30 feet within the park 😄
(Holy fudge thank you guys for the likes! 😭🫶

As a Florida native and Disney passholder I can confidently say that Disney does have mosquitos BUT it’s significantly less than pretty much anywhere else in Florida. Here’s a fun fact you may not know!
The reason why is that mosquitos are usually found around still water so when they built the Magic Kingdom they made sure the water was never still by creating a system where it could consistently flow at a rate that’s hardly perceptible to human eyes which is why it doesn’t look like it’s moving.
A military General named Joe Potter worked with Walt Disney alongside an Admiral named Joe Fowler to do the main design of the operational bits of the park. General Joe Potter was actually the guy who designed the Utilidors (tunnels under the Magic Kingdom). Among other notable contributions, General Potter also gave them the idea to keep fountains and other water areas flowing based on information he learned while serving and witnessing malaria cases near the Panama Canal.
General Potter was later honored by naming one of the Magic Kingdom ferry boats after him as well as two other men who were crucial to the creation of Disney World (and Disneyland). One of them was Admiral Joe Fowler and the other was a man named Richard F. Irvine who helped Walt Disney and his team create the illusion of forced perspective we see used in the parks today. He would later be honored by having the second paddle wheel steamship named after him. We now know this ship as the Liberty Belle in the Magic Kingdom.
There are three Magic Kingdom ferry boats: the General Joe Potter, the Admiral Joe Fowler, and the Richard F. Irvine. When ferry boats were added to the Seven Seas Lagoon that transports guests to the Magic Kingdom there were only two ferries: The Magic Kingdom I and the Magic Kingdom II. A few years later they decided they needed another ferry so they created a new one called the Kingdom Queen which had a dance floor, restrooms, and bars on the top level but those amenities were later removed to accommodate more guests.
In the mid 90s they rechristened the Richard F. Irvine as the Liberty Belle, the Magic Kingdom I and Magic Kingdom II as Admiral Joe Fowler and Richard F. Irvine respectively, and the only one of its kind, the Kingdom Queen was rechristened as none other than the mosquito man himself, General Joe Potter.
This has been your Disney history lesson of the day. I hope you all enjoyed!
