Is this a new thing. I never heard of female DIs greeting new male recruits as they get off the bus. Female Drill Instructors always seemed so odd to me. I only ever crossed paths with them a few times while I was on Parris Island, but any time I did I could never take them seriously. They were like little puppy dog versions of the male Drill Instructors.

I went into boot camp back in 98, seeing this now is a real shock to the system. Not bad, just I'd never thought I'd see it. As for getting yelled at by a woman, I've had plenty of practice: I was married for 7 years.

I wouldnt be able to take a woman yelling at me seriously. Id laugh. I mean, i get it, its the military and laughing would get you smoked to death, but idk. A woman yelling at me just doesnt have the same effect as a man. 😂
