Just used cheap charcoal lighter fluid. It works the same and then you can use acetone after it cures if you want to clean up any residuals but there won't be any

Therea no need to use any kind of solvents doing thia..
Just lick/wet your finger and smooth the sealer out.
No mess.

Spray windex over the top before you tool it. Then it wont stick to the rest of the material around it when you wipe it.

I looked up the sds.pdf on their website and the main solvent is toluene. If you can get some of that it should work as well. Also it just said rubber but wasn't specific, if it's silicone which it may be since acetone did not work, naphtha or Zippo lighter fluid should work as well. or automotive SEM brand semsolve which removes silicon. I use those to remove silicone based mold release from parts as well as to thin platinum cure silicone in order to paint onto silicone since only silicone will adhere to itself. Cheers

First things first understand what you’re working with you’re either working with the polyurethane, which is fiberglass or you’re working with an acrylic which is epoxy. They are both different. They’re similar different polyurethane acetone all day long acrylic Zlin all day long.

SBS and APP are also two products for which you don't ever want to use acetone. Good old paint thinner works a treat But acetone does absolutely nothing but make a mess.

Lacquer does just as well. Pretty much any fast evaporating petroleum product works for this

Forget all that, cut the tip at an angle and run that gun at nearly 90 degree angle and you most like won't have to use anything, try it practice it and you'll see, just like door, window bathroom caulking. Seriously man try it. I'm not being sarcastic but trying to be helpful.

Are you trying to produce a sealed joint or a cosmetic joint?

Wen i lay sealer i dont need to clean up if you get an even distribution of the RIGHT amount then when you run your finger thru it it wont be ove flowing all over the place it will just sit perfect. Might need to clean a corner a tiny but once you figure out the right size hole the right pressure the right speed and an even amount it lays alot cleaner i almost never had to cleane up only once ina while cause that was litteraly my job as a painter/paintprep and the time u waist on cleaning the time your waisting on getting it into the spray booth and we had alot of truck bodys to do

Acetone is a key chemical when it comes to bodywork. How did you never use it?
