I wouldnât be surprised if C.M. Kosemanâs suspicion that Spinosaurus is a chimaera turned out to be correct. Spinosaurus holotype was described by Stromer to be basically Baryonyx with high spine with no trace of paddle tail at all. He suspected that the tail come from other animal, possibly something like Deltadromeus found in the same formation. This would explained why different studies shows such a contrasting result because the current Spinosaurus model is wrong, itâs a chimera, not just one animal.
