How do you treat a mold allergy? I'm Dr. Manan Shah, I am an ENT and allergist at Wyndly Health. As our climate is changing and the world is becoming more damp and humid, unfortunately we're gonna see more and more mold. And that's gonna lead to more and more mold allergies. Mold is a known trigger for both allergies and asthma, and it's associated with a sinusitis called allergic fungal sinusitis.

Ultimately, the best way to treat a mold allergy is through a thing called immunotherapy. In immunotherapy, what happens is we expose your body, either orally or through shots, to what you're allergic to until, over time, your body becomes desensitized. We have extracts for mold that can be used in shots and they can be used for drops as well. If you'd like to learn more, please subscribe.

This is really helpful. I’ve had this annoying tinnitus and vertigo caused by constant white phlegm building in in my sinus. Realised it coincides with the leaf mould/ hay fever season

Hi doc, it seems that few MD’s recognize mold illness, and don’t understand it.

Can we just eat cheese every day? Since cheese and fermented food are mold allergic.

Hi Doc, I’ve read studies and articles about exercising while dosing allergy drops, and it’s tough to figure out what is the most wise approach. Can I work out per usual while taking drops every day? Seems a bit unrealistic to cease exercising during a multi-year SLIT protocol. Please let me know your thoughts, thanks!
