You can practice this anywhere, all you need is a small space to walk around in (yes, you can walk in a circle) ๐ถ๐ฆฎโญ๏ธ
โ Step #1: With your dog on a leash, pick which side you want to walk your dog on
โ Step #2: When your dog is not looking, say the command โCome!โ and guide them in your walking direction with the leash. When they look at you, say โYes!โ as your verbal reinforcement.
โ Step #3: As you are basically walking in a circle at this point, step 3 is to back pedal backwards. Other than that, the command stays the same.
โ Step #4: after enough repetitions, get your dog in the sit either using the leash, the sit command, or both. Then, get your dogโs eye contact and say โfree dog!โ
