Yeah I really hate this. Like the other comment says what if I want to check for AC ripple? It's going to assume it's DC if proving a cars electrical system, while there may be a few volts of AC mixed in ln ... I like my 50 dollar Amazon purchased multimeter with a built in oscilloscope scope. Does ac, DC, resistance etc the usual. Diode check mode, and of course that oscilloscope which is great for automotive applications! Wanna check injectors, oscilloscope doesn't hurt!
