I don’t understand. If being a woman doesn’t mean that you look a certain way, why do so many trans women pick a look that is typically an exaggeration of femininity; fishnet shirts, stockings, glam-makeup, etc. How come more trans women don’t look like butch women, or Tom-boys?
My suspicion is because despite all of the double-talk about gender constructs, most trans women want to conform to a very sexualized, patriarchy-built idea of what is feminine/sexy.
I’m not a hater, it’s an observation.
