The new DMG is, in my opinion, a massive improvement over the 2014 version. I especially appreciate the DM's Toolbox chapter as well as overall much more refined Running the Game section.
That being said I wish the chase mechanic got a revamp and I'm still waiting for the new rules on creating monsters since seemingly only the most surface modifications are discussed in the new DMG.
