Great movie SULLY about the pilot landing SAFELY on the water. And how the FAA (pushed by the aircraft manufacturers) to prove engine failure in the pilot. I am 30 years in aerospace electronics industry. And the design of jet engines are tested by catapolting frozen turkeys into it until the engine stops. The News said it was an unusual large flock of canadian geese that clogged and stopped the jet engines. That air space in between La Gaurdia and JFK Airports have alwas been known to be a major path for all birds that migrate for the seasons. So i dont know if the engines where properly cared for by the ground crew or if it was a freakish large flock of geese.
