I have had exactly the same issue and am now booked in for a coil to be fitted. I know HRT isnāt for everyone but Iāve been so lethargic, put weight on, lack of energy and low mood, itās actually positive to hear Iām not alone with my experience and that your doctor has come to the same conclusion as mine - hopefully weāll both feel more full of life and normal very soon!! ā¤

I started HRT in November and made the decision to use patches and the mirena coil after my Doctor explained all the options to me. She did say this was the āgold standardā for HRT treatment. I do not regret this at all. My periods have stoped and I only get occasional spotting which is minimal, which is a huge help as my bloods showed last Summer that I was border line anaemic. After a recent blood test my iron levels are back to normal. Best of luck and hopefully when you get the coil fitted it resolves these issues for you.
