How To Grill A Thick Burger Well Done But Juicy - For Beginners

1. Start by getting the grill as hot as possible. Around 500°F-600°F is best.

2. Once the grill reaches temperature, place down your already seasoned burgers.

3. Close the lid of your grill and let the burgers cook for 3-5 minutes.

4. Flip the burgers to the opposite side and let them cook for 3-5 minutes.

** How long you let the burger cook per side depends on how you like your meat cooked. 5 Minutes per side will make a well done burger **

5. Flip the burgers one more time and put on your cheese. Let the burgers cook for another minute so the cheese has time to melt and brown.

Burger Grilling Tips

1. Don't cut into the burgers or they'll lose their juices. If you need to check the internal temperature, use a meat thermometer on the the top side of the burger. Then don't turn it over again or juices will run out of the puncture.

2. Season your burgers before placing them onto the grill.

I'm just learning how to grill a thick burger. So the meat actually goes onto the grill? No wonder mine always turn out wrong. I've been forming the burger patty and then putting them in the bathtub. This is all very complicated but I will watch the video a few more times and take notes. Maybe I will figure this out someday.
