I'm excited to see literally anyone else play this game, as I am utterly incapable of playing horror games AND absolutely love the Alien franchise and desperately want more sci-fi horror. 😅

It took a long time for 2 reasons
1. IGN's bogus review of that game. That review hurt that game in such a big way because the better the review the more chances the game has a better success in selling unit.
2. Aliens colonial Marines came out the year before to abysmal reviews and it left a lot of fans super skeptical and hesitant that they felt like they didn't want to get burnt again, plus a good portion of the fans want an action shooter not a survival horror game

It didn’t help that it came out on the back of the disastrous ALIENS: COLONIAL MARINES, so a lot of people didn’t give this a chance, after being burned so badly.
I’m glad that over time people have come to realise how amazing ISOLATION is, and we are finally getting a sequel. Definitely a purchase on day 1.

Because it was a good game and the dates wanted to take their time with it.
10 years was on the high end but not unheard of in the early 2000s. He'll the release dates of halo 1 2 and 3 had me going from being a toddler to mid teens.

I played it a while ago and let me tell you it was scary. One time I was hiding in the vents, I then turn around use a flare and low an behold there was the alien.

What I'd like to see in the next game is like in the first one where the alien has 2 brains but I'd like for it to actively evolve on its own like a rouge ai adapting to how you play and how you react to the situation.
For example if you hide alot under desks the alien will save it in is data base (just for example) and it will check under more desks making you have to change your way you survival.

I'm surprised that it didn't sell that many copies after release, it must have been a slow burner. Im not a fan of horror game genre but absolutely loved this game. I bought it, played it once and then it took me 3 weeks to pluck up the courage to play it again. Absolutely terrifying.

one of my favorite games of all time. i almost never replay story games and i dont like horror genre but ive played this game over 10 times and watched mutliple people beat it
