The only way I will give Daima a chance is if it’s established that this is a fun miniseries spinoff, and not the new direction of dragonball. If we lose super to this, I will be extremely upset at Toriyama, Toei, etc.
It would be a huge slap in the face to fans that have supported this IP for a generation. It’s not about this being good or bad. It’s not even about the premise. It’s about the potential of losing real dragonball forever.
For example, Nozawa is 90 years old. If the last time we get to hear her amazing voice is GT 2.0: everyone’s a kid edition, then… wow.

I'll probably be out of Dragonball after Daima. With Toriyama at the helm, there will always feel like something is missing, and it won't be as fun. Daima is Toriyama's last hurrah, and I'm glad it's back to basics.
