I remember struggling as a healer in the old version of the ultima weapon fight (8 man) we timed out because of how poor i was doing but all of them were so supportive and giving their pointers on how to do better. Afterwards, 1 of them came to meet me at an aetheryte and gave me a full set of gear and accessories, materia and all, for a healer my level. Didn't want anything in return... 😮 got some more advice on techniques, and i went back in immediately after. Nailed it without getting wiped!
I now have a few jobs on level 100 and i still wonder why i struggled so much in that dungeon 😂 but this player was kind and patient and told me not to worry and focus on the story and have a good time. 😊 and i still

Either Gil or a quick and easy full set of gear for their current class when they don't notice we just checked what they had on.
Think the best thing I ever had was an old 1.x player come back near the end of Endwalker. They had to do something to continue the story, but had to go to their original class trainer and couldn't figure it out. So just helped them out teleporting about until we figured out what it was and sent him along their way. "Enjoy the story and don't be afraid to ask for help"

I always pass it forward with a new player. I had someone do this for me when I first started playing again, and it’s always a big help to get people going.

Either a wellspring of gil or a minion because my attempts to pop the box for a night pegasus still comes up dry. I love confusing sprouts with random minion gifts
