Back then I wasn’t a fan of The Hammer but the more I see of him the more I admire and respect him.
As a wrestler, a performer, a hard nosed personality, a man and a person who doesn’t seem to ever speak ill of anyone.
He ALWAYS has good things to say about any opponent.

He has a genuine gregarious, but extremely intimidating aura about him, very mysterious fella, always a stalwart wrestler.

JYD was a gimmick guy with loads of charisma but he was extremely limited in the ring. He needed experienced heel opponents to make him look good. Fortunately, the WWF at this time was full of them.
