Diana Duyser, a resident of Florida, was just about to enjoy her grilled cheese sandwich one day back in 1994 when all of a sudden--just as she was getting ready to take her second bite--she stopped, her mouth agape, when she noticed something strange about the way that her sandwich looked.

Convinced that this was NOT just any ordinary grilled cheese sandwich, Duyser, using some crude preservation methods, ended up keeping the sandwich on her nightstand for the next ten years!

What was so special about this sandwich (what exactly had this Florida woman "seen" in it to make her want to keep it around for so long)?

Finally, after a decade of sleeping with the sandwich on her nightstand, believing that it offered her protection while she slept, Duyser (for whatever unknown reason) decided at last, that it had come time to pass the torch and let someone else glean the joys that the sandwich had brought unto her.

In essence, she listed the 10-year-old sandwich with the bite taken out of it on EBay. EBay (somewhat surprisingly) ultimately allowed the listing to stay up, and in the end, the auction earned Ms. Duyser a grand total of...
