Today I had a 85year old gentle man in the ICCU, when I saw him having Vtach I called the attending staff to take an ECG, alerted them to get ready with the DC defibrillator. Unfortunately, within a few secs to mins before we bring things together he went to Brady and a cardiac arrest. We immediately started CPR and activated the ACLS protocol and revived him after 3 cycles of CPR, 3 doses of adrenaline. Poor this guy within the next 20 mins before we could do an ABG to evaluate him for any immediate correction went Brady and another arrest. We again activated the ACLS protocol, 4 cycles of CPRA, gave 3 doses of adrenaline (already he was intubated during the first arrest), but we couldn't get him back to life.
It was breathtaking for me to be a part of the team and watch a patient succumb to death.

I have had a constant heart rate over 100 since i had open heart surgery to fix PAPVR with ASD. My Dr doesn't seem concerned about it.

I have been experiencing tachycardia intermittently for several weeks and the contraction of my heart is strong ang giving me chest discomfort if it keeps going on for couple of hours... Happens even when am on a rested sitting or laying position...
I started taking CoQ10 400mg 2x a day and mega dose of omega-3 fish oil.
These supplements help me.
