False, humans do not burn calories, they oxidate substrates.

Protein is a building block not a fuel source. So any protein consumed is not going towards daily energy needs.

And hormones regulate fat storage.

As there is no such thing as an essential carbohydrate, fat is the human bodies preferred fuel source.

It would be better to measure food mass then to use a biologically incorrect unit for energy such as a calorie.

Fixed some writing errors.
