This is why my generation started being mechanics when we wore 5 years old.
It's why I build balsa gliders when I was 8 years old.
It's why I started building model rockets when I was 12 years old and powered control line airplanes when I was 14 years old. It's why we learned Morse code as teen agers and built Heath Kit radios and TVs. It's why we learned to solder long before we ever had a formal class on electronics. It why we learned drafting.
My point is, you should know the fundamentals before you go to school for that specialty.
