Ok in my head I just imagine Apollo doing just the sweetest most romantic "will you marry me?" Ever, like they're alone together at a beach and he's just stumbling over his words knowing he loves Kinthia, and despite knowing that she loves him back doesn't know if she's ready for the commitment of marriage yet and honestly at that point neither does he but my God did it not matter to him. He just wanted to express just how much he's willing to do to be together in their golden years... I can also 100% see one of them making a joke saying "Why don't we get married already?"
