I never wish illness on anyone, but that being said, why is this news? It isnât malignant. Itâs a slow growing cyst. In most cases youâre advised to just leave it alone. She could probably live a normal lifespan without this ever causing her any symptoms. Itâs only because she got a free scan as a perk for a company she did some promotional work that they spotted it. Otherwise sheâd never have known it was there. And her wrongly calling it a tumour, with all the connotations that go along with that word, is massively attention seeking.
Sheâs in a far, FAR better position than the rest of us mere mortals, and can afford premium healthcare. Sheâs already said that sheâs shopped around for advice from multiple doctors and surgeons so she can get the best treatment and most favourable outcome. We couldnât do that. You get what youâre given on the NHS and have to do whatever the random surgeon youâve been allocated on the day advises you, and you just have to HOPE heâs not one of the numerous incompetent ones. Why is a not that serious ailment of an EXTREMELY privileged person headline news?
