I never wish illness on anyone, but that being said, why is this news? It isn’t malignant. It’s a slow growing cyst. In most cases you’re advised to just leave it alone. She could probably live a normal lifespan without this ever causing her any symptoms. It’s only because she got a free scan as a perk for a company she did some promotional work that they spotted it. Otherwise she’d never have known it was there. And her wrongly calling it a tumour, with all the connotations that go along with that word, is massively attention seeking.

She’s in a far, FAR better position than the rest of us mere mortals, and can afford premium healthcare. She’s already said that she’s shopped around for advice from multiple doctors and surgeons so she can get the best treatment and most favourable outcome. We couldn’t do that. You get what you’re given on the NHS and have to do whatever the random surgeon you’ve been allocated on the day advises you, and you just have to HOPE he’s not one of the numerous incompetent ones. Why is a not that serious ailment of an EXTREMELY privileged person headline news?
