There is a different view that's amazing. Come down via Monte Rupea onto Foro Romano. Looking at something in a new way. Also, the Palatine as you continue along to go to San Teodoro. I did 2 walks with an architectural archaeologist 2 years ago. Absolutely fascinating. I now spot spolia everywhere. π

Was there last May!! Rome is a museum! The Roman forum is amazing! Julius Caesars swimming pool still has some of the marble floor intact! Venice was my fave! So unique!! Be sure to see the Ara Pacis Agustae in Rome, the peace altar a must see!!
