Actually the reason the cub follows the mother is because he is addicted to her milk. It’s the same with all animals. Haven’t you ever seen baby kittens or puppies or human babies milk drunk? It’s the cutest thing.

15ft slip leash is a super cool way to very badly damage your dog's neck, I literally saw someome's puppy dislocate its C3 vertebrae because they used a long slip leash.
Theres zero reason to not just attach a long leash to a harness
