That’s awesome to hear you are running! I hated when I first started running because even when I ran at an easy effort I would still get very sore and have pains in tendons and ligaments. Running just like weight lifting is a patient game but the body is amazing and when it eventually adapts it feels a lot more comfortable!

For the belt, I find wearing it up higher and tighter always works well for me! If I have it right above my glutes in the small of my back, it almost “sits” better. The belt almost always loosens from the impact of running so it’s better to start with it tighter.
I also wear my belt backwards to keep my phone (larger Pro) weight back there rather than pulling on my front. Hope that helps!

Experiment with different shoes and how you tie your laces has a major impact. Go to a running shoe store and they can help you figure out your foot problems. And how you tie your shoes can majorly impact how your foot feels- as strange as that sounds. Also it’s runner science one bad run means the next run will be stellar, just keep going 😇

Be careful now to run the same route every day and at the same time every day. For ladies, especially in urban area's it's the easiest way to become a target. Also be careful about wearing headphones around traffic. And if you can get away from concrete and into something softer like dirt or gravel it'll feel a lot better. Concrete is harder than asphalt and regardless of shoes it'll best up your hips and knees after a while.

I don't use insoles. Or only the thinnest that are basically there to reduce friction. I also cut out the part on the arch so nothing touches the plantar fascia at the arch. Feet are incredibly dynamic, let them work as they should without blocking the movement. It will translate to the rest of your body if your foot can't move dynamically.

👋 Runner here! I would totally recommend “breaking in” soles or any running shoes that have foam built in. Until they actually mold to your feet it can definitely tire your feet out and cause discomfort! Try walking in them for a few days before using them for another run.
Glad to see all your running content and looking forward to your review of running clothes!!
