Growing up in the 70s/80s Marks music was always on the turntable. It was the closest we came to the beauty of classical music. It was the golden period, a true eclectic mix of talented writers and musicians in our era.

"The vibe of the band". if I may, I'd like to say that what Mark expresses here was quite evident from the very beginning. We, as an audience, have seen Mark's wonderful way of communicating with the other mudicians on stage many, many times, over the years. It's still such a joy to see. Mark Knopfler is truly the most generous and remarkable musician I've ever had the priviledge to see live, interacting with other fellow players. Be it a string quartet or a saxophone player- whoever, it doesn't seem to matter. What an outstanding musician Mark is! No one else could be compared! 💙 🎸🎶✍️

Played professionally for 35 years or more, taught, played just for myself, but hearing him say this really strikes home. There is NOTHING like playing with a group of musicians, particularly on those special nights when everything just 'clicks' and magic happens. Mark has inspired me for many years, and I've had the good fortune to work with some very fine musicians. There's nothing else like it. You can tell by the way he looks at the band when they’re all playing. He’s like a loving father who’s so proud of his sons. I’ve never heard music that’s as thought provoking and straight from the heart. 🎸
