Tedbury Quarry (Wiltshire, Southern England), has a great range of geological structures to observe, all in a relatively small disused quarry.

The underlying sea-lain fossiliferous Carboniferous Limestone has been folded, then faulted (so displacing the strata), this all then uplifted and eroded flat by the warm Jurassic-age seas, the sea floor proving this by it being burrowed by Jurassic organisms. Sediments were then deposited upon the sea floor, thus forming an angular unconformity, the near horizontal beds clearly differing to the steeply-dipping older beds below them by not only their orientation, but their fossils, colour, the types of sediment within them, and the lack of faults passing upwards into the younger sediments.
