Everyone needs to do things like this with their dogs especially if you plan to bring them out socially. I used to stand outside stores with dog cookies and if someone wanted to engage asked if they wanted to treat. It helped bring out socially hesitant pups. Didn’t work with my reactive Mal though. I could never shorten the distance before she reacted. She wasn’t meant to be a pet but she was in my family and her training continued even to the age of 7 hoping she might get over it. Sadly weeks of horrible abuse left their mark but she was happy doing jobs for me, playing and being a loved well behaved member of a family for her 10 yrs. ❤
