My son and I went by Como HS last spring while school let out. The cursing and inappropriate language were over the top. The students have no respect for their schools or themselves. The long evolution and tolerance of terrible behavior by the school district, the parents, and the students is why I have none of my children attending St. Paul schools. I direct other parents to other districts when they ask for my advice. Saint Paul schools teach to the bottom of the socio-economic scale rather than raising its standards. I blame the parents who have bullied the administrators and teachers into submitting to terrible children. I blame school boards and administrators for not defending good students and teachers against the degradation.
If you are one of the decent people who live in Saint Paul, please help defend good teachers and students by pushing out school board members and administrators who tolerate the terrible behavior of some students and parents. Demand a re-establishment of common decency and punishment for awful behavior. Kick bad people out of the district.
