Roald Dahl probably would like his last words to be changed. His last words were "OW, FUCK:

LOVE the gaslight inventor joke. 😆I believe the term came from a 1930s play and its subsequent film adaptations where a man really did turn the gas-powered lights on and off and say to his wife, "The lights aren't flickering in this house. Are you nuts?

Wilfred Owens last words were underrated. Definitely better than his early work

Honestly the inventor of glasses on their death bed, having finally succeeded, telling their nearsighted children or grandchildren “You’ll see! You’ll all see!” Is such a weirdly sad yet wholesome visual my brain conjured up for no reason

Wilfred Owen (born 18 March,1893) was a famous poet who would serve in the first world war as a British second lieutenant in the Manchester regiment. He would die exactly a week before the November 11th armistice while crossing the Sambre–Oise Canal in northern France. He was 25 years old.

Funniest part is that Roald Dahls last words are even FUNNIER.
The final words of writer Roald
Dahl, were
"You know, I'm not frightened.
It's just that I will miss you all so much" to
his family.
After appearing to fall
unconscious the nurse then injected him with morphine to ease his passing and he
said his actual last words:
"Ow, fuck!"

It is unbelievably disrespectful to the memory of all these incredibly talented people that worked tirelessly for Humanity's greater good...

And I love it.
