Lehru didn't come into office elected but, in fact selected and appointed.

Leaving women in the dark means statistically, you lose half of your potential.

The difference was that China was one party state. So when they got it right, they were very right, and when they got it wrong, it was horrible. In India, education was more of State Government's purview. Tamilnadu education revolution was brought in by Kamarajar, who was a Congress leader.

Nehru in India must be like Makarios in Cyprus. Western historiography considers them as ethnarchs. The reality is they were both appointed by British colonialists, and took catastrophic decisions for their countries

The surge in population is because of illegal immigrants in 1971 which is still continuing.

Regional politics, local beliefs, traditions, colonial division. Many reasons.

The main problem is not women's education at this moment, the main problem is who will take care of the children if both parents goes for work in a nuclear family. A lot of women couldn't continue their career because of raising the children. Government should make work from home normalize for women and encourage/incentives corporates to allow women for remote/hybrid work. This could be a blessing for educated home stuck women and will revolutize growth for our country.

Why did Nehru spend so many government funds to sponsor hajj trips from year 1954 instead of improving literacy rates, agriculture, and army in India? india 's literacy rate was only 25% when Nehru died in 1964.....
