Very interesting process, enables actors to get really into the scene and act a certain emotion believably.
The only issue is that, depending on the situation, you can trick the audience with an unbelievable character.
Here, Walt ends up appearing as if he genuinely believes he is innocent, even though the character would KNOW it is all a lie. It works if the character is good at lying or putting on a show, but if a character isnāt canonically that good at lying then it could be misleading or inconsistent.
Very interesting to think about, definitely has to be applied with care.
