I vote the Ruger Security-Six Stainless Steel, 5 inch barrel. I carried this on-duty when I was a deputy. Passed it on to my eldest son.

Got the Ruger GP 10, best revolver ever, sold my Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Long Colt, dead accurate at any range, and like Grover, been kicking myself for forty years for selling it.

6 inch GP100 stainless. got it when i was 19. im 51 now. bought it new with a little help, it was $290 brand new. carried it in river camping trip for years. carried 4 speed loaders on the belt just'in case.

I favor the model 19 S&W combat magnum. Its trigger pull was smooth straight from the factory. No touching up. I've won a few trophies with it, I love it. Bought it in 1980 when I went to work for the Sheriff's Dept. Still have it today. It would be the last gun I would ever give up.

Why is 357 mag ammo so hard to get and too expensive? How come Taurus isn't on your list? My first firearm was a Taurus model 689 357 magnum. I have had this for almost 38 years and it has never failed me.
