Well not actually true. You cannot marry a girl without her consent in the first place. Secondly, even if a girl consents, she must be baaligh (this is the age when they touch puberty usually 16 nowadays).
Also, you cannot just marry a women and divorce her for no reason. Divorce is an extreme case and one of the most disliked things to Allah. Allah has permitted it because in some cases you just cannot continue the marriage.
Also, Isaac married Rebecca when she was 3 years old (according to the bible). The thing is people became mature quickly back then. Like the legal age of marriage in the US in 1800s was 12, in 1900s the age for marriage of women in new Hampshire, USA was 12.
