What is the advantage (other than weight) kf using these foam boards often with paper facing that will fall apart terribly with the first bit kf water?

I just used go board and finished a bathroom and used polymer dap the new amp product works just fine! And it's at home depot! I spoke with the go board creator a few times you can contact him directly for projects if you need any info he's super helpful and will answer any questions! I couldn't find go board sealant at lowes so he said to use the amp polymer! I had several questions i did the shower with go board worked so well but my issue was i had a free standing tub and the go board is probably fine he did the math and said it was fine for the floor but a tub with feet and 4 points of impact and not rhe whole tub surface touching the tile with a human is like 800 lbs full of water so I played it safe and used hardie backer! Thanks for all the videos!
