Is night stand cream a valid substitute for table cream?

Never heard of it. It looks disgusting and there's probably a reason it was forgotten, unlike creme brulé and lava cake, popularised in the same era.

This absolutely obliterated a lactose intolerant child back in the day.

Evaporated milk with milk and more milk add milk powder then three more versions of milk mix together and sprinkle with milk chocolate that has all the chocolate taken out… so more milk.

From the Google:
Light cream, also called "coffee cream" or "table cream," has between 18 to 30 percent milk fat. Half-and-half contains at least 10.5 percent milk fat, but not more than 18 percent. 🤙
