🚫 “God won’t give you more than you can handle.”

Sounds comforting, right? The problem is… the Bible never says that.

What Scripture does say is in 1 Corinthians 10:13:
👉 “God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.”

Notice the difference?
• Paul is talking about temptation, not suffering.
• God doesn’t promise we’ll never face overwhelming circumstances.
• He does promise we’ll never face a temptation to sin without an escape route.

In fact, throughout Scripture, God’s people regularly face more than they can handle on their own—so they learn to depend on Him. 🙌

The truth is better than the cliché: God won’t always keep life manageable, but He will always be faithful. And His strength is enough when ours runs out.

That makes more sense to me than the saying. Because right now we are going thru a lot but the only reason I'm not falling apart is because of Him❤

Exactly this, Tim! Relying on Him is the best choice any person can make. Surrender to Him today if you haven't already. 💞

45 “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food [i]in due season? 46 Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. 47 Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods. 48 But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying [j]his coming,’ 49 and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, 50 the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, 51 and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

“He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.”

It’s clear as daylight. It’s written plainly.

Another example of how Christians cherry pick the Bible. Why don't you read it in it's entirety instof picking out your favorite verses....
