Ok, you do know that a large percentage of the items we buy in the US are made in the same factories as the products from Shein and Temu. I have bought 3 things from Temu which are identical to ones I bought on Amazon, for half the price or less. Amazon sells a lot of the same items you find on Temu and they literally sell Shein branded items. Chemical smell, yes. Next time you buy a mattress, especially a box mattress, smell it, guaranteed it has the same chemical smell. We sleep on our mattresses 8 hours a day and we are like "It will air out".

Incidentally...that smell...when you enter a store full of new clothes, upholstered furniture, mattresses, housewares/towels. That smell is poly fluorocarbons. Pretty sure "new car smell" is also that.
