Edit: I have a problem with YG and not Blackpink as a group. I'm also not shaming you if you like their music since I like a lot of their songs as well. I just have a problem with people (& YG) using the excuse of "quality over quantity" when that's just not the case.

I find it a little obvious that YG intentionally has it so that they comeback rarely not for the "quality" but for the hype, honestly. Like, would you be excited for a group that has a comeback every 5 months or so? I don't think so. But when a group has a comeback once in a blue moon, the fans can get anxious and even frustrated... which I think is exactly what YG wants. People and media alike go wild for that long-awaited resurgence, not an expected reoccurrence.
TLDR; BP's sparse comebacks are a marketing strategy lol

I don't actually mind the long breaks, it's the lack of content when they do comeback that bothers me. They are nearing their 7 years in one year. What is they disband with literally a discography of a handful of songs? That's just embarrassing for the girls at this point. Like let them release a full album with at least 12 songs. Full albums all have over 10 songs, some up to 20. 8 is just a glorified mini-album. I don't want these girls to literally finish their careers as BlackPink with such few songs to show for it. They're not even having them do any tours or concerts or special appearances. All we see is brand deals which is great for the girls but we also want them to slay our lives on stage.
