I have had 4 of them All 2500HD and I loved every one of them. I also have had 2 Foods F350 with the power stroke diesel and had one blow up and the other that they replaced
The truck for me would not start at times and spent more time in the dealership than with me. I also have had the Ram 2500 with the Cummings diesel and loved that truck too! As of right now I have a 2022 Chevrolet 2500 HD and love that truck. I like my Duramax diesels. They are wonderful motor and very quiet, but I have to say the Ram is nice too!

I have a 22 and it is the most inconsistent truck on mpg’s I have ever had. It may get 22 one day 18 the next. No rhyme or reason. I do love the truck and power and dependability are very consistent

Another lifted luxury sedan with exposed trunks. Wonder when ANY of the big three will make a working man's truck. 2 doors, full sized bed, bench seat and a bare bones cab. Economical and built to actually WORK .

One thing when checking mileage you have to try and make sure you fill it exactly the same,not always possible.

When I first got my 2006 2500HD Duramax, I got about 22 mpg. Now I get about 16mpg, but I think part of that might be the lower sulfur fuel they have now. At least I don’t have to run DEF.

I have one just about like yours and about 17.7 mpg is the best I have gotten. It has 23000 miles on it now.

If you were to get a small bottle of Lucas fuel treatment in the tank, you would get a surprising increase.

I have a 2024 standard cab 4x4 hd Duramax. It gets 24 on the hwy at 80. But stopping at multiple jobs and letting idle here and there. She gets 16-18. I have stock tires

Every ONE of the MPG gauges on EVERY SINGLE Vehicals of ANY Brand ....Lies LIES LIES. They are "Jacked up" from 12 - 18% ALL DAY LONG.

Are you resetting the mpg computer when you fill up? If not, it's averaging in all of the miles, not just the miles from that tank of fuel.

19.5 mpg is pretty good. That works out to be 12L/100km. This year we traded in our 2011 Silverado 2500HD LTZ 4x4 ext cab with Duramax 6.6L and Allison. It's life time fuel economy was 14L/100km (16.8 mpg) with average driving speed of 80km/hr (about 50 mph). We now have a 2022 CV515 4x4 with Duramax 6.6L and Allison trans, we installed a Hiab XR5N hooklift and 12ft aluminum box (384 cu ft) and it averages 20L/100km (11.6 mpg) while hauling 10,000lbs of hardwood. Similar traveling speeds. With no cargo it averages 16L/100km (14.7 mpg) and the best I've gotten was 13.9L/100km (17 mpg).
