Also with an extra sensor, extra catheter (in your case the pod) etc, in case it gets off

Hey mum π do you not go out with an emergency kit? Insulin, glucose monitor, spare pod etc? Might be worth doing in case the pod fails for emergency back up

I always have the insulin pen in hand even though I use the pump. I keep telling myself that I will no longer place the omnipod on my stomach because every time I do the insertion thingy comes out. Likely my abdomen area just rejects it the sticky part remains attached but the blue insertion piece comes out. Iβm able to get free replacements when this happens as long as I prove that there was still a lot of insulin that went to waste.
