When adults go into their 40s they start to gain weight. Either you are determined to find out how to change your diet or you give into the weight gain. Which most people do because of the lack of self-awareness. So this is logical of where you stand and where most ppl stand. I did not give up and my determination has shown this in how my diet had to change. And now that I know how to lose weight I don’t get cookies or pasta everyday. My excitement is no longer in foods but it sure is in the cute wardrobe I have set for myself. Most ppl are not willing to let go of carbs and sugary foods. But I’m okay with looking different in the larger crowd that justifies the SAD diet. When you look great, you feel great.

Yes, I’d like to be thinner. It would make me feel happier and healthier if I took off my tummy roll. But, to me it is going to be much easier not fixating on that goal but being happier and healthier now. For me, focusing on my body’s needs now, day by day, I trust I’ll get there down the track without all the stress and guilt.

I agree with this. I’ve really worked hard to get to the root of shame, feeling ugly, etc… Losing weight can have great benefits like everyone is saying, but it cannot add value to me as a person. My worth and value are already set. But it can add value to a way of life.
We need to choose happiness and joy NOW. “I’ll go out once I’ve lost this weight.” “I don’t want to go to that party because I packed on another ten lbs, and I don’t want them to know that.” “I will wait to go on this dream vacation once I’ve lost the weight, then it will be more fantastical!”

I agree, we should embrace where we are on the journey.
I eat mostly vegetables so that I don’t have to count calories. Honestly, after I lost my 15 pounds of fat I feel much happier but I couldn’t have seen the light without accepting my journey. I didn’t have self-confidence when I was chubby. However, I was immediately encouraged when the weight came off after finding healthy go to meals.

I think certain.... Aspects from your statement is true. However I disagree where weight loss can't make you happy because once I lost my weight I was the happiest man ever. Especially with the workouts and muscle definition I got. However, psychologically yes if you aren't good mentally then weight loss won't fix you you have to fix yourself first.

I really appreciate your videos they are very helpful, and I’d surely not say anything negative, BUT I do have to mention how extremely happy my weight loss has made made me numerous times in my life!! I could not possibly have been more ecstatic. Now of course happiness lies in one’s self, being knowing themselves and being good generally will
mostly help, BUT ones the people that that right, and if the people appreciate being thinner then it absolutely makes you happy !! (Just like money) 😍😍

I think I sort of get where you’re coming from here, but it’s an easily misunderstood message. I think what really got it to click for me was something Linda Sun said in one of her weight loss journey videos - it wasn’t that she hated her body, but that she hated the way she was treating her body. Once you start to honor your body and the process of becoming healthier, you will feel better on the inside and out.
