It’s on purpose that this character speaks quietly because she doesn’t want to alarm the human she’s talking to. When Esarae says “Sela’mere’tierann” she can use her guiding ability to see what’s truly going on behind a fake smile and such and lets her know what precautions to take when guiding someone. She sees fake happiness as a mere illusion and she sees through and she does what she can to gently guide those who need!
