Story:

In this chapter, six shadowy figures, The Condemned of the Gloom, stand as lost souls bound to an endless vigil of suffering and regret. Each character bears a past marked by dark decisions and secrets, their expressions and postures reflecting the weight of shadows they can never escape. Trapped in an eternal gloom, their souls are linked, bound in a silent connection that intensifies their shared torment. With every flicker of light, the figures reveal themselves a little more, as if trying to break free or to share their stories of remorse before fading back into the darkness.

This piece pays tribute to Ari Aster’s universe of Hereditary, exploring how the choices and shadows of the past can haunt us endlessly, especially under the influence of supernatural forces. Inspired by Hereditary's intricate storytelling, The Condemned of the Gloom is an immersion into the oppressive power of dark secrets and the cursed connections that bind us.

In Hereditary, the story of the Graham family reveals the impact of a hidden legacy, showing how familial wounds and transcendental secrets can become a prison from which no one can escape. As the dark past overtakes each member of the family, the presence of hidden forces seals their fates, plunging them into a hopelessness from which there is no return.
