Azi, the latest desktop robot from Engineered Arts, showcases the company’s advancements in expressive robotics through a conversation with their well-known humanoid, Ameca. Azi has 32 actuators—27 focused on facial expressions and 5 on neck movement—enabling it to emulate realistic human-like interactions. Engineered Arts also developed a desktop version of Ameca, built with similar capabilities for research and educational purposes.
