This is the reason why Hindu keep their children names of Lord Shiva or of Lord Narayan.

Yes I do agree that chanting is very powerful but it should not when you hurt or kill innocent people unnecessarily.

Mostly your stories are factually correct and interesting. However, pronunciation of names are wrong. The spelling is correct but I write here to help understand the pronunciation correctly - Ajamila - Ajaamila
Narayana - Naaraayana.

The lesson here is that chants generate resonances. Lord Narayana's chant is one of the most powerful ones. However you have to chant it right. We all forget thet it's not the meaning of words in mantras but the sounds themselves that cause the connect to the divine. He was a disciplined Brahmin before so he knew the right way to chant the mantra. This is why it worked. Simply saying the name is not enough. It has to generate the right resonance. It worked out probably because it was a product of karmic actions. But for the rest of us it's not that simple. The highest form of worship of the Lord is to understand the context behind their actions. Lord Vishnu never does anything without any reason. This entire Universe is his body. If we can all actually understand and accept this fact as well as apply to our lives and actions, this dilemma of sin will not even arrive.

Excerpted from Śrīmad Bhāgavatam [Bhāgavat Purāṇa] , Canto 6

On our Bhāgavat Dharma Samāj channel, Swāmījī, His Divine Grace Mahāmaṇḍaleshwar Mahant Kṛṣṇa Balarām Swāmī Prabhupāda, a native Vrajavāsī Brāhmana disciple of Śrīla Prabhupāda has been covering this story just recently in the latest episodes, during the narration of Śrīmad Bhāgavatam.
